Aluminum sand casting is a traditional casting process that uses sand as the main modeling material to make molds. This kind of craft is also a popular craft in the market, and we can see products cast by this craft in our lives, such as the relatively hot cast aluminum doors.


2. Principle of sand casting process:


The types of sand casting mainly adopts gravity casting process. Gravity casting refers to the process of injecting molten metal into a mold under the action of the earth's gravity, also called casting. Gravity casting in a broad sense includes sand casting, metal casting, investment casting, mud casting, etc.; gravity casting in a narrow sense refers specifically to metal casting.


Sand casting generally adopts gravity casting, and low-pressure casting, centrifugal casting and other processes can also be used when there are special requirements. Sand casting has a wide range of adaptability, small pieces, large pieces, simple pieces, complex pieces, single pieces, and large quantities can be used.


For sand casting molds, in addition to single-piece sand castings, aluminum alloy molds or resin molds with higher dimensional accuracy and longer service life can be used. And there is another casting, which is resin sand casting. In addition, sand molds have higher refractoriness than metal molds, so materials with higher melting points such as aluminum alloys and ferrous metals also use this process.


There are many casting processes: aluminum alloy sand casting, aluminum alloy gravity casting and aluminum alloy die casting. Products include auto parts, rail transit parts, medical equipment parts, ship parts, lighting parts, valve parts, building decoration materials and furniture parts. We collectively refer to these products as sand casting processes.
